The New York Times, January 5, 2014 states that about 3/4 of processed foods now have genetically engineered crop ingredients, mostly in the form of corn syrup, corn oil, soy meal and sugar.
Hawaii is a mostly GMO-free zone, except for the now famous, or infamous, Rainbow GMO papaya. Farmers and activists in Hawaii continue to battle it out, through council meetings, articles, rallies, etc.
I wonder who will win the GMO war? Big Money, or Common Sense?
What do you think?
